Discovering the Artisan
Piumati
Veneto, Italy | Lighting Maker
Based in Murano, Piumati relies on a team of twenty master craftsmen to create its splendid chandeliers. The company takes its name from a 17th-century Murano glass technique for feather patterns - hence “piumati” - obtained by applying hot glass threads in contrasting tones to blown glass that is subsequently combed up and down. Boasting the “Vetro Artistico® Murano” certification, each chandelier is a singular objet d’art conceived by brilliant designers and drawn on stone blackboards before taking shape under the expert touch of master artisans.Discover more
