Oil and acrylic on canvas and juta. Xian’s portrait is part of the triptych "Asians". Xian, originally from the distant provinces of Mongolia, looks at us with melancholy waiting for real change. She hopes to find empathy and understanding in whoever is looking at her, while she’s worried about the post-pandemic era, looking for an escape, and a better future. Small figures leap in front of her, in a psychological emanation, symbolizing in a leap the desire for novelty, to escape from something.
