Named after the Italian words for "glass sand steenbras", this tapestry is a refined and unique objet d'art exhibited at the Venice Biennale. Part of the Velvet Lagoon Project, it is fashioned of silk velvet dyed with pigments of azure and cornflower blue, and painted by hand with color pastes depicting a sand steenbras adorned with colorful mouth-blown Murano glass details of strong visual and textural value. The tapestry is assembled on a wooden frame.
