Twergi Side Table

Made from Maple, Riccardo has shaped this preliminary form using a chainsaw. He later employs traditional wood carving devices to refine and finish the shape following the grain and patterns inherent in its form. The finish black and lustrous and textural is achieved through the natural firing of wood. It accentuates the timber grain and hand-made markings of the woodworking. This sculptural piece works well as a side table. This is a unique piece. This is a bespoke and sculptural piece for one's home. Please note the top has a slight incline.
