Sustainable Luxury at Casa di Langa

Among the Langhe Hills, surrounded by hazelnut groves and vineyards, Casa di Langa finds its place in the heart of Piedmont. The sustainable retreat recalls the shape of the ancient local farms, with terracotta bricks and stunning courtyards overlooking the nature.

Surrounded by the thriving Alta Langa lands, in the green heart of Piedmont, Casa di Langa is a luxury getaway that evokes the same feeling of the local rural houses, with its terracotta bricks, half-timbered walls and courtyards overlooking the green slopes. The surrounding area can be defined as almost mountain, dotted with woods interspersed with hazelnut groves and vineyard, giving a sensation of untouched nature.

The main goal of Casa di Langa is to create an experience of excellence that takes care of both guests and environment. The architecture is inspired by the traditional local ones, characterized by a unique refined simplicity, where the chromatic shades of the natural environment are reflected by the interior design and the use of local materials. The whole project was inspired by the hazelnut grove, the orchard, the vegetable gardens and the view of the vineyards. The use of Pietra di Luserna, an ancient Piedmontese rock, and terracotta represents the deep sustainable essence of Casa di Langa: here you can truly breath a sense of balance and connection with the nature.

With a modern materic look, the elegant furnishings have been carefully selected from historical and iconic Italian design brands. Using a sustainable approach, the design concept revolves around the color and the characteristic of Alta Langa and its evolutions in the succession of the seasons. Bricks, stones, plasters, floors and fabrics have been chosen to reflect the organic characteristics of the earth and the chromatic counterpoints of the foliage before and after the harvest. Everywhere in Casa di Langa you can find references to nature and vernacular architecture hidden in the rough tactility of the surfaces and the openings to the outside environment.

While external architecture features a predominance of red warm tones, the interior design has a more organic feel, where the use of natural oak essences, raw stones and white fabrics favors a welcoming atmosphere. Here a rich art collection includes a curious selection of painting and sculptures realized by Italian and American artists Deep respect for the natural world and its sustainable future is reflected in every aspect of Casa di Langa: from the energy resources to the use of water and the policy of zero plastic consumption.

The Alta Langa has a unique uncontaminated veracity that makes it a real destination for travelers and slow life lovers, away from the chaos of the city. Nestled between hills and valleys, small hamlets of great charm and historical value represent true jewels of art surrounded by panoramic views on the green hills.

Here it is possible to discover the history also trough itineraries in taste, among wine cellars and the sublime flavor of sea, truffles and woods where the eye gets lost. Casa di Langa offers a stunning experience in the Italian culture of slow living.
