At the heart of the festival is The Venice Glass Week HUB, located in the grand Palazzo Loredan. This year, the HUB will showcase extraordinary installations by leading Italian and international artists, while the HUB Under35 highlights the next generation of glassmakers, underscoring the vibrant future of this storied craft.

Venice Glass Week 2024 invites you to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of glass art, where tradition meets innovation, and Murano’s legacy continues to inspire awe and admiration on a global stage.

This year’s edition is marked by a record number of international participants, with over 300 submissions from 45 countries —a true testament to the global resurgence of glass art and the growing appreciation for this ancient craft. The festival’s diverse program offers an extraordinary range of experiences, providing both connoisseurs and curious visitors with the chance to engage deeply with the world of glassmaking. Highlights include curated exhibitions that showcase the very best of contemporary glass artistry, alongside behind-the-scenes tours of historic Murano furnaces, where the magic of glassblowing has been perfected over centuries.

The Glass Bateo (the ‘bateo’ is the traditional Venetian waterbus) will traverse the iconic canals of Venice for the duration of the festival. A picturesque voyage that has the aim of introducing the fascinating history and appeal of Murano’s artistic glass to the widest possible public.
