Kinidaros Tapestry

Depicting Naxos, the island that provided marble to build the acropolis of Athens, this tapestry is rich in warm and earthy hues. Dynamic and wavy, it is entirely woven by hand following different techniques that lend it a contrasting ensemble of pale and vivid shades. A one-of-a-kind piece, it is made of linen, cotton, lurex, silk, and synthetic fibers.
