This exquisite bookcase will not only be a functional item but it will be a decorative element in the home as well. This piece was constructed to allow customization by stacking its shelving components, available in either in opaque black or opaque white, into various configurations. The piece featured here (configuration A) was put together to mimic the one exhibited at the Triennial in Milan and also presented in the archives in the MOMA in New York. This unique piece of furniture will make a statement in any room. Designed by Ugo La Pietra, year 1967.

Chiara Ravaioli is a spatial designer based in Ravenna, Italy. Recently graduated from the University of the Arts of London in 2016, she now is a curator of exhibition spaces such as the Cantine di Palazzo Rava and festivals such as the Sottotraccia, and even serves as a guest lecturer in Product Design at the University of Bologna. Specialized in material research and the latest generation of 3D-printing technologies, she creates unique, contemporary objects made of organic materials such as resin and hemp, thereby integrating industrial and agricultural processes.Discover more
