Strokes On Heart Kintsugi Sculpture

This spherical sculpture is as volumetrically simple as it is artistically complex. Wrapped in prized white crape silk, the heart in red ceramic is a recomposition of fragments resulting from a spontaneous breakage during the firing. The cracks are enhanced and simultaneously concealed by tone-on-tone embroideries with silk thread that remind of the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with liquid gold. Each piece is unique and comes with a numbered and signed authenticity certificate.
