Alberto and Paolo Sala with Federico Ferrari created Edizioni Design in Milano out of a common passion for design and architecture. Their objects are minimalist, with shapes strongly linked to their functions, while the technology used is deliberately “lo-fi” and employs stones and metals with different and precious finishes. The result is something that they call “naked design”: sleek pieces that are also evocative and full of emotions.

Matteo Tagliapietra began as a young apprentice at the esteemed Gambaro & Poggi glass workshop in Murano, under the expert guidance of master Mario Gambaro. He soon proved his talent and became a "master" at the age of 21. In 2015 Matteo started, together with Luciano Gambaro, the new company Gambaro & Tagliapietra. From here begins a new journey, a stimulating project aimed at establishing him as an undisputed master glassmaker, but at the same time a promoter and inspirer, together with Luciano Gambaro, of lines, styles, and contamination to make the millenary art of Murano glass flourish and innovate.

Now, the new family generation keeps making splendid umbrellas using an artisanal method in combination with the finest Italian fabric, woods and brass. These exquisitely decorated, entirely hand-made unique pieces are sold to the best stores worldwide while maintaining the Italian tradition of the artisanal production of umbrellas. Giuseppe Rivadossi

Giuseppe Rivadossi was born in 1935. His first sculpture exhibition was in 1968 and since then his work has been featured in important anthological expositions and art catalogues. With his sons Emanuele and Clemente, he now manages Habito di Giuseppe Rivadossi, an atelier and workshop where his pieces come to life, where wood is hand worked, and assembled predominantly through joints to obtain objects that are both poetic and domestic, ancient and light, material and ethereal.
