About Artemest

Artemest Collection by GACHOT

Artemest unveils a preview of its first-ever furniture collection, designed by New York–based studio GACHOT and crafted by Artemest’s network of Italy’s finest artisans.

The collection is conceived as a dialogue between the clarity and restraint of New York modernism and the depth, tradition, and material richness of Italian craftsmanship. Inspired by the Gachot’s own living room and shaped by decades of work across hospitality and residential design, Artemest Collection by GACHOT is defined by restraint and intention: an exercise in disciplined modernism where material honesty, human warmth, and precision replace excess.

Inspired by our New York City living room, the collection is deeply personal—an expression of how we design and live

Christine and John Gachot, founders of GACHOT

Bridging American modernism and Italian craftsmanship, each piece reflects a belief that true luxury lies in what remains after everything unnecessary is removed. In an industry under pressure to endlessly innovate, GACHOT dares to return to simplicity, delicately refining time-tested forms to create pieces of enduring value.

Beyond its visual clarity, the collection is defined by a rare sincerity: designers and artisans working as equals to reinterpret centuries-old manufacturing techniques through a contemporary lens. Produced entirely by a selection of Artemest artisans, the collection celebrates craftsmanship as both process and philosophy, using natural woods, cast glass, leather, and fine metals with intention.

Designed to age gracefully across residential and hospitality settings, the result is a modernism that feels lived-in, welcoming, and quietly confident.

Unpretentious yet rigorously considered, these are pieces intended to be lived with for decades to come.
