The work by Spagnulo & Partners began with a profound exploration of the essence of the place, drawing inspiration from its rich heritage in art, history, and local terroir. The process continued with the incorporation of materials that define the region’s character, including Etruscan terracotta from Montone, Sugaroni furnaces from Castel Viscarso, stones from San Terenziano, and fabrics from Giuditta Brozzetti. The project culminated in capturing the soul of the place by reconstructing its bold persona, ensuring that every element of its heritage was thoughtfully woven into a broader vision—one that honors the past while embracing a contemporary sensibility.

The architects faced an ambitious yet profoundly pure challenge: to capture the essence of the property’s glorious past, while harmonizing with the colors and textures of its landscape and paying homage to the artistic traditions of 15th and 16th-century painting. After months of meticulous work, completed in July 2024, the result is nothing short of a masterpiece. The rebirth of the property not only reflects the beauty of the surrounding area but also elevates the region’s growing appeal to visitors. Where once stood an ancient fortress, subsequently transformed into a noble residence, now rises a luxury resort, poised to warmly welcome guests with exceptional accommodation and services.
