The Convivio collection, born in 2016, combines two great passions: marble and design. Unique, contemporary and minimalist objects, handcrafted with passion and care
Paola Speranza has a degree in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic. She works in restoration, building renovation and interior design. For years she has worked with the family business that has been working and restoring marble since 1958, the Fratelli Speranza . Three generations specialized in the sale, design and processing of marble, granite and stone with imports from all over the world, as well as restoration of antique marble.
The progenitor Cesare, a marble worker and sculptor, then his sons, the brothers Augusto, who specializes in restoration, Franco focused on work related to construction sites, and Piero, a restorer and sculptor like his father, and finally since 2004 the granddaughters Paola and Anna. The commitment is all-encompassing, from the restoration of churches and fireplaces, to the creation of every element for modern homes with special emphasis on furniture elements, taken care of especially by architect Paola, who in 2016 created a collection of marble objects for the home and table, which is an integral part of her ESPIdesign brand. It is precisely from the fusion of design and attention to detail that the Convivio series was created, born from the love transmitted by the family for the raw material, marble as a natural, living and always different element. All the pieces in this series are contemporary, exclusive objects, handmade in the workshop just outside Pavia; their design is minimalist and bold for a modern, elegant home.
Recently the forms have become sculptural, unique objects created in collaboration with Uncle Piero, who turns them into art.
