Asterion Green Ceramics Vase - Main view

The Asterion Green Ceramics Vase, part of the Cynara collection, stands as a striking tribute to the wild artichoke, interwoven with the mythological essence of Zeus. This sculptural piece captivates with its layered, spiny design, resembling the intricate structure of the flower, resulting in a bold visual impact. The vase showcases vibrant, crystalline glazes that play harmoniously with deep forest green hues and touches of purple, creating a dynamic, iridescent effect reminiscent of Mediterranean vitality. The elongated tips of the "leaves" project a sense of dynamic strength, while the polished, faceted surface enhances the color depth, establishing a refined interplay between material and light. This unique and audacious decorative element enriches interiors, offering a captivating nod to organic beauty and the art of craftsmanship. Each piece is unique, due to handcrafting, slight changes may occur.

Editor's Picks

Born with the name Fratelli Donà, the business was founded in Murano in 1937 by Arnaldo Donà, Alberto Donà’s father. Thanks to that, Alberto Dona’ began working in the field at the age 13, collaborating with many masters and having the opportunity to travel abroad to Venezuela to work with glass. From that moment, his art became famous for the colors and mostly for the dimensions. In 2001 he had a one-man show at the Vassel Art Gallery in London and he was selected to furnish the lighting for the Hiroshima Memorial Museum.

In the 70s Donà opened his own workshop where he became known for his unique ability to invent colors in glass never before seen, as well as his use of innovative forms.
