Recovering elements and traditions, to give life to the reinterpretation of design through hands
NODO2014 is the brand created by Clara Arpini (born in 1987), who has a background in the humanities and describes herself as a "weaver." She learned at a young age, as a self-taught, to weave using the frame of an old grandmother's chair. Thus was born a project based on the enhancement of the craft tradition and the recovery of ancient techniques of stuffing and weaving to give shape to countless textures and striking textural contrasts. Research and recovery, of elements and traditions,give life to her work of reinterpreting time and design. Hands are his tool.
In his workshop in Cassano d'Adda (Mi), in close collaboration with local craftsmen, come to life furniture elements, such as chairs and coffee tables, home accessories such as lampshades, baskets and rugs, made from yarns of various materials, woven exclusively by hand and directly on the structures.
A tribute to manual skill and slow craftsmanship, where material choices and color combinations represent the connection between past and future. And they set in motion the thoughts of Clara, a young artisan who lives in the past and renders it in her production.
NODO2014 aims to create objects with a personal and unique aesthetic, expressed in total freedom, and that of the customer by customizing the works according to requests.
