Ceramiche Rometti was born in 1927 in Umbertide, from the intuition of the skilled ceramist Settimio Rometti, who resorted to the collaboration of his nephews, Aspromonte Rometti and Dante Baldelli. In a climate of cultural ferment such as that of the avant-garde movements of the early 20th century, the dream to be realized had a precise and ambitious form: Rometti would become the synthesis of art, craftsmanship and industrial production, a new way of reading expressiveness and exalting the potential of ceramics.
Freeing themselves from all formal constraints, the artists experiment with sculpted figures, vases, lamps, plates, graffiti pieces and limited edition paintings that make uniqueness their strength. Rometti's style is the eclectic and timeless fruit of an artisanal and artistic practice in which cues from the European avant-garde merge with an emotional attachment to the Umbrian territory and its traditions.
