Small Panther Sculpture

Part of a collection of sculptures depicting animals with elegant colors and strong volumes, this small panther will add a unique decorative accent to a contemporary decor. It is entirely handcrafted of white clay, notable for its naturally rich kaoline content. After an initial drying phase, the piece is hollowed out to obtain a thickness of 1 cm and then sanded for a smooth finish. Before firing it in the kiln, Daniele Nannini painted the piece with clay and pigments, according to the traditional "engobbio" method to give it a striking black color.
