"UNA, Articolo Indeterminativo" is the name of the collection that comes from Italian grammar where the indeterminate article precedes a non-identified noun. The objects play on the ambiguity of the matter that can deceive the eye: a sturdy element like wood, hand-carved and levigated, looks like a light tapestry. The curves and the soft drapery of the wood are inspired by a long and attentive study of the usage of drapery in art history, going back from ancient Greece to Bernini’s sculptures.

Edizioni Design
Lombardia, Italy | Lighting Maker
Alberto and Paolo Sala with Federico Ferrari created Edizioni Design in Milano out of a common passion for design and architecture. Their objects are minimalist, with shapes strongly linked to their functions, while the technology used is deliberately “lo-fi” and employs stones and metals with different and precious finishes. The result is something that they call “naked design”: sleek pieces that are also evocative and full of emotions.Discover more
