Lamia del Riccio was born from love at first sight, as the owners visited the construction site of what would become the villa and saw the possibilities of their dream coming true. In 2018, Giovanna and her husband acquired the property and set to renovate the original villa and the two adiacent trulli, typical Apulian structures with an immense cultural heritage, to give the territory a new life and to follow the true purpose of the location, donating rest and quiet and a luxurious retreat to those who needed it.

Perfectly integrated in its wild surroundings, Lamia del Riccio's mission is to preserve the local traditions while offering an experience of true Apulian lifestyle.

Interior designer Gian Paolo Guerra, an expert in combining true Apulian décor with modern design choices, joined forces with the owner to create a space where no object is casual and every accessory is the truest representation of the homely feel instilled by Giovanna and her husband. Far from just a revisitation of the rural lifestyle of the area and an impersonal design, the villa lies on the thin line between these two concepts for a stunning result.

In the rooms, guests are expected to find exclusive ceramics customized for the spaces by local artisans, textile pieces handcrafted using traditional techniques with authentic looms and vintage pieces exclusively handpicked from a nearby boutique founded by young entrepreneurs specialized in antique findings.

As Giovanna says, the beauty of Apulia and of the Ostuni countryside lies in the outdoor living, in the scents and colors of nature. This is the reason that the outdoor space of Lamia del Riccio is extremely curated and perfectly suited for family meals, explorations and leisure. With sunbeds and loungers around the pool, the villa gives its guests a truly deserved space for relaxation and enjoyment of the local life.
