AD50 MIDDLE EAST
Over the years, AD50 has spotlighted innovators and pioneers on the Middle Eastern design scene. The 2021 selection highlights the resilience of the local design community and its ability to adapt and grow. Artemest is delighted to partner with Architectural Digest and celebrate the Middle Eastern designers shaping the region’s design scene.
This year’s A-list reflects the growing consciousness about the social, cultural and environmental impact of design: there are more women leading design studios and businesses in the Middle East than ever before, and diversity and inclusiveness are fast becoming a tangible measure, enriching the region’s creative output.
Artemest made its debut in the Gulf region with Gathering Nights, an exclusive collection curated by Dubai-based interior designer Rabah Saeid. The founder of Styled Habitat turned her expertise in creating low-key luxe interiors to the Artemest world, picking a selection of Italian handcrafted pieces with warm hues, opulent details and striking color accents.
The partnership with Architectural Digest Middle East was born out of the desire to support and highlight the best local talents, such as AGi Architects, Aline Asmar d’Amman, AMA, Ammar Basheir, Azaz Architects, Carl Gerges Architects, Cebra, David/Nicolas, Dori Hitti Architects, F&R Partnership, Foster+Partners, Gatserelia, Grimshaw, Hany Saad Innovations, Hozan Zangana, Lrnce, Majed Harsani, Nabil Dada, Pace, Rabih Geha, Richard Yasmine, Saccal House, Sahel Al Hiyari, Sayar & Garibeh, Shaikha Al-Sulaiti, Sibyl Design Studio, Studio Toggle, T Sakhi, Vera Dieckmann, Walid Sfeir & Associates, X Architects, Yasmina Makram, ZAV Architects and more.
