LA MANUFACTURE is a brand where design and fashion collide. A brand where a certain je-ne-sais¬quoi of French allure meets the best Italian craftsmanship.

LA MANUFACTURE

LA MANUFACTURE is a brand where design and fashion collide. After years spent dreaming of making this ambitious project a reality, owner Robert Arcouri brought together two great figures from the creative industry, who share the same passion and determination: designer Luca Nichetto, La Manufacture’s Art Director, and fashion consultant Milena Laquale, Head of the Fashion Collection. And for La Manufacture's very first collection, they have earned the trust of la crème de la crème of the international design scene: Oki Sato, Founder of design studio Nendo; Ben Gorham, Founder of Byredo; Patrick Norguet; Sebastian Herkner; Emma Boomkamp; Todd Bracher; Marco Dessí and Elena Salmistraro. Halfway between design and art, this refined and modern collection reflects this shared philosophy to consistently seek out the best, unique and evocative designs.

With the second collection, La Manufacture is starting a new chapter of its “design manifesto”. Joining Robert and Luca this year is a diverse creative team chosen for their eclectic cultural backgrounds, strong personalities, and fondness of La Manufacture: France’s Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, the Swedish design studio Front, Sebastian Herkner from Germany —for the second time —, Chinese duo Neri&Hu, the Swisspractice atelier oï, Marc Thorpe from the US and the Hong-Kong-based British designer Michael Young. This year, it is their turn to share their vision of French art de Vivre infused in Italian craftsmanship.

This second launch heralds a bright summer after last year’s spring, bringing a more nuanced and contrasting take on a youthfully flamboyant debut collection. The dialogue resumes with a series of designs that contribute a sense of consistency and cohesiveness to the brand. While the first collection sought to embody, the second is looking to inhabit. The result is a rounder, warmer atmosphere, with pieces designed for residential and business environments, both indoor and outdoor.
