For this contemporary design of the Metropolis series, Paronetto draws inspiration from the simplicity of urban silhouettes to create a piece of everyday use that merges innovative material with traditional crafting techniques. The stunning result is a functional and decorative vase that gets its unique texture from adding paper pulp and fiber to the ceramic mixture. The surface of the cylindrical shape has a smooth finish with irregular edges and a contrasting glossy white interior. It can contain water and therefore flowers, or dried elements but it should not be used as a dining utensil. The white pieces can be washed with water or sanitizing products, whereas the coloured pieces must be treated more gently and cleaned with a feather duster or a soft cloth, dry or moistened very slightly with water.
