Part of the Passeggiata Archeologica, this elegant plate was designed by iconic master Gio Ponti when he was artistic director of the brand from 1923 to 1933. Made of fine porcelain, this piece is a stunning work of art that creates a surreal scene in which black figures alternate with architectural element over a white background adorned the perspective of a brick wall rendered in gold. The dreamlike quality of this decoration (whose name in Italian means Archeological Stroll) makes this a superb object that is both decorative and functional.
