I have always been fascinated with the delicate and calibrated relationship between light, colour and shape. The formal study never disregards these three elements.
Botticelli's work ranges from strictly industrial to artisanal production, from collaboration with Italian and international brands to the design and production of editions under his firm. During the design activity, he draws inspiration from different sources and cultural areas, that reads, interprets, and formalizes through a clear and rigorous stylistic code. Pure geometries, neat volumes, and clear signs are the figures that characterize each of his projects. The constructive sign meets the graphics in a determined formal synthesis. The often two-dimensional reading of the volumes and the thoughtful combination of colors gives rise to the proposal of objects that are always decorative but always also characterized by specific functionality. In fact, the intention to propose a moment of surprise and amazement is central to the development of the project.
He is driven by an attitude toward combining materials and technologies, crossing the boundaries of skills and industrial sectors.
