Sleek comes to mind when looking at this chair. The simple lines enhance the unpredictable grain and shades of its knot-free walnut frame, enriched with an oil finish and visually lightened by the open design of the backrest. The general rigor of its restrained aesthetic is softened by the seat's and backrest's smoothed corners.

Riva 1920
Lombardia, Italy | Carpenter
Riva’s story all began in the 1920s in a small cabinetmaking workshop in Cantù, Brianza run by Nino Romano. In the ‘40s, the founder’s son-in-law, Mario Riva, joined the business and was later followed by his son Maurizio and grandson Davide, focusing their work on tailor-made collections toward the end of the ‘70s. In 1992, Riva participated in the Milano Salone del Mobile, and in 2010, it unveiled the Riva Center by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. Known for enhancing wood through natural oils and waxes, the brand is committed to sustainability and reusing materials.Discover more
