Traforo Veneto Framed Mirror

This superb framed mirror was hand carved on antique wood. Its simple rectangular frame is adorned with grape and flower patterns and its entire surface was gilded by hand with 22k pure gold over the dark background. The preparation to the gilding is made only with natural materials, such as rabbit-derived glue, isinglass, and gold-treated gypsum. The finishing in bronze is made with agate stone and an aged patina is applied at the end.
