Costanza Paravicini handcrafts original decorative and functional dinner plates from her laboratory, which she opened in the early 90s. Now she works alongside her daughter, Benedetta Medici, and continues to bring to life handmade and one-off decorative objects for the table. Paravicini's hand-painted designs or hand-applied serigraphs are always under glaze, so that the colors do not fade and are non-toxic. This technique is very difficult and no one else works this way nowadays, but the plates that come out of the ovens are incredibly bright and shiny.
Elegance and artisanal details make the difference in the manufacture of something special
Founded in Milan in the 1990s, Laboratorio Paravicini represents a benchmark for Italian excellence in the art of ceramics. Born from the passion of Costanza Paravicini, the company has been able to enhance the local manufacturing tradition, combining a love for craftsmanship with a refined and timeless aesthetic. Each piece is made in the heart of the city, keeping alive a tradition that celebrates the culture and elegance typical of the Milanese territory.
Paravicini stands out for its unique working techniques, which blend art, technique and creative flair. The plates, risers and other creations are made and decorated by hand, making each item unique. Particular attention is given to the silk-screen decal technique applied under enamel, which gives the products exceptional strength and brilliance. This process ensures that the decorations, often inspired by floral or geometric motifs or fairytale scenarios, remain unchanged over time.
The utmost attention to detail is the guiding thread of the entire production process, along with the control of all stages of the manufacturing process. Each piece, moulded and decorated strictly by hand, is never the same: uniqueness is the inalienable hallmark that represents the essence and philosophy of the workshop.
