Pianeta Verde Murano Glass Sculpture

Encased in a bell jar crafted of clear blown glass, turquoise filaments in Murano glass seemingly defy gravity to create this miniature green planet, the ground made of molten glass enriched with fluorescent pigments. A utopian scenario recalling "Invisible Cities" by Italo Calvino, the sculpture rests on a footed, swivel wooden support that is coated with a micro-cement, textured resin flaunting a silvery finish.
