Groviglio Cascante Sculpture

Perfect in its imperfect shape, this evocative sculpture is aptly named ‘cascading entanglements’ in Italian, evident in the dainty, ring-shaped clay elements overlaid and configured to give the illusion of movement. The piece is modeled by hand and wood-fired in the kiln at 1350 °C to obtain the mesmerizing earth-toned glaze dominated by shades of green and brown.
