Rich in artistic and historical significance, this anthropomorphic vase is an iconic homage to Sicily's rich Moorish influence. Entirely handmade of terracotta, this vase of Musidora (Greek for "gift of the muses") boasts a bold countenance: the hair is gathered by a supple turban and framed by a fez and jewels, while the deep eyes and sumptuous lips emphasize the piercing gaze. The white matte glaze strikingly contrasts with the black band placed across the eyes, creating intense color and textural depth. Best showcased in a foyer or living room for an eye-catching effect. The vase cannot be filled with water.
