Born in Venice, where she is still based in an atelier near Palazzo Grassi, she started making jewels with Murano glass beads and sea stones before turning to painting in 2008. Her attendance at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice sparked the idea of painting what she previously used to craft. In 2023, she launched her furniture brand M’ama Edizioni at Edit Napoli, presenting works like Ariel (a multifunctional oven showcased at Collectible Brussels and ICFF NY) and Domenica (a stainless steel breakfast console shown at Collectible NY). Her work has been celebrated in Wallpaper, AD Italia, and Dezeen, to name a few.

Giulia Fauro Alessi (1989) lives between Milan and the Veneto region. Her academic training in the visual arts is combined with her work in textiles and exhibition design. In her idea of art, each work is handmade by her, with reused textiles, the result of meticulous research, which comes mostly from warehouse funds and antique markets, thus ennobling the waste and giving new life to the material. In each work, the artist investigates the theme of the essence of colors and the spiritual forces that are hidden in the color combinations. Each tapestry is characterized by marked material contrasts, translated into games of proportions and in inexact and primitive geometries.
