Self-taught sculptor Alessandro Rametta founded La Fucina di Efesto (Hephaestus’ Forge) in Milan in 1997. Guided by a pioneering approach to the art of metalworking, Rametta has always been devoted to exploring creative applications of this expressive material, using new sculptural and pictorial techniques to shape this expressive material. His creations come to life with the contribution of designer Andrea Capriotti and the entire workshop team and stand out for their exquisite balance of art, design, and architecture.

Sambuco

Mario Sambuco established his eponymous brand at the end of the 1950s, following the footsteps of his father Luigi who has a deep knowledge of Deruta-style ceramics. Since the ‘80s, Mario’s sons Lucio and Luca took up the family business, creating new designs thanks to constant research and experimenting with precious finishes such as gold, silver, and platinum. Sambuco keeps alive traditional techniques by rigorously maintaining handcraftsmanship at the core of production, receiving the prestigious Primo Concorso tra Ceramisti in Deruta prize in 1991.

Born in Torino and living in Firenze, Daniele Nannini has been an illustrator and author of many children books published in Italy and abroad, particularly dedicated to projects involving visual creations. In recent years, he has started painting and sculpting life-like ceramic objects that possess an expressive, eclectic quality. Focusing on the connection between man and nature, Nannini’s subjects create an idyllic landscape without the human element prevailing over nature, rendered with powerful and elegant volumes.

Mauro Varotti

Mauro Varotti is the owner of his eponymous furniture firm specialized in marquetry and exquisite inlaid works located in Rimini, a historic town along the Adriatic coast. Varotti’s tremendous passion for his job gives life to his creations, unique objects of art that take center stage in any refined home. He established the artistic brand Intarsia after meeting with antique art and jewelry dealer Massimo Giorgi, who owns a gallery in the nearby town of Cattolica.

ROU Materiaal

Based in Ravenna, ROU Materiaal is a furniture firm established in 2013 by Marzia De Lorenzi and Monica Cortesi, artists who share a strong passion for art, design, and the city of Paris. The firm’s name derives from Afrikaans meaning “raw material”, highlighting the brand’s distinctive style that connects "primitive" materials to a deep study of contemporary shapes and textures using resins, acrylics, stucco, and cement. Their sculpture-tables and hand-painted fabrics are manufactured in Italy from salvaged woods of century-old trees that find new life in a modern home.

Michela Nardin founded MNMVenezia in 2017 after an illustrious career as an artist in Rome and Venice. Drawn to the unconventional and bestowed with an artistic spirit, Nardin pursued various art forms. She moved to Venice over 24 years ago and fell in love with the city’s glass and mosaics tradition: there, she perfected her artistic knowledge with the help of master craftsmen. Using glass from the historic Orsoni Furnace, she crafts mosaics in small collections inspired by different passions, exploring places and stories in a unique, refreshing, and personal way.

Stefano Gerini is an eponymous interior design workshop based in the historic heart of Florence. Founded in 1980 by Stefano and Anna Gerini, the brand draws inspiration from the architectural grandeur of Florentine basilicas, creating furniture, decorative panels, and accent pieces.
