Hand-knotted entirely in Nepal, this rug was designed by Matali Cresset in 2011 and produced in a limited edition of 20 pieces. This superb piece playfully renders an intricate network of tree roots radiating from a central round truck and over a circular green backdrop reminiscent of a tree canopy. The exquisite pattern is elaborated in 100 knots per inch and a pile with a height of 5 to 50 mm.
