Whimsically shaped like a hairbrush, this bench will surely capture the eye with its playful look. Anthracite-gray-lacquered iron legs recreate the bristles, which offer steady sustain to the raw cedar seat. Showcased in a natural finish that highlights the unique grain and shades, the piece also comes in a black-volcano variant in the Artemest catalog.

Lombardia, Italy | Carpenter
Riva’s story all began in the 1920s in a small cabinetmaking workshop in Cantù, Brianza run by Nino Romano. In the ‘40s, the founder’s son-in-law, Mario Riva, joined the business and was later followed by his son Maurizio and grandson Davide, focusing their work on tailor-made collections toward the end of the ‘70s. In 1992, Riva participated in the Milano Salone del Mobile, and in 2010, it unveiled the Riva Center by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. Known for enhancing wood through natural oils and waxes, the brand is committed to sustainability and reusing materials.Discover more
