Part of the Ibridazioni Collection, a series of zoomorphic or phytomorphic pieces, this white, monkey-like mask is handcrafted in majolica using the "colombino" technique, whereby rings of clay are overlapped before being molded and fired. The first firing step at 960°C precedes the glazing, allowing the full-white, glossy look to be sealed during the final firing at 930°C. Please contact the Concierge for customization details.

Discovering the Artisan

Freaklab
Sicilia, Italy | Ceramist
Freaklab is a contemporary atelier, a creative workshop producing majolica terracotta pieces, established in Palermo by Antonio Sunseri in 2016. Freaklab serves up original pieces that draw inspiration from the relationship between man and nature, featuring animals and monstrous creatures. To convey his ideas, Antonio uses a paintbrush to represent the world of painting, a pencil, the symbol of drawing, and a scalpelto shape his materials.Discover more
