1960 Vintage Vase with Lid

Created at Ceramiche Alvino Bagni (Florence) in the 1960s for the American company Raymor, this splendid vase with lid features a rounded shape embellished with a dome lid with pointy finial. Handcrafted of red clay on a lathe, the vase is decorated by slip ("borbottina" in Italian), placed on the still-wet surface, with ancient coins and finished with several layers of enamel using an airbrush.
