Masterfully executed using century-old techniques, Leone Intarsi's master artisans meticulously create the stunning floral motif of this desk in light blue-stained birdseye maple wood with a high-gloss finish. Carefully selecting different wood, the pieces are cut following the contours of a design previously created on paper and slightly blackened by rapid immersion in heated river sand to give the effect of shading and depth. They are finally reassembled to create this functional piece of art boasting two sinuous front drawers and cabriole legs.
