Onfalos Egg Sculpture

This work is a symbol of Birth, Fertility and Vitality; a good omen. The Onfalos Egg is made with Italian mixed terracotta using a cotto lombardo technique and rests on a base in Italian crystalline marble. For the artist, it represents alpha and omega, the primary concept on which existence is based and the cycle of life in history.
