Alfredo Sosabravo was born in 1930 in Sagua la Grande, Cuba. His works in plain and brightly colored terracotta represent mechanical objects and symbolic anatomical representations. The crafting is entirely manual and each piece is unique and unrepeatable. In 2020, an exhibition dedicated to the 90 year old master Sosabravo was held at the Museum of Ceramics in La Havana with ceramic works created at the historic Ceramiche Giuseppe Mazzotti factory in Albisola, the city where the artist moved to in 1993.

Sara Massidda was born in 1980 in Corinaldo, Ancona. Having commenced with metalwork, the artist then approached a new material: felt.
