In the heart of the Marche region, in Recanati, the story of the Sagni family began in the 1960s. Luigi Sagni, a painter and sculptor, started his artistic journey in the world of interior design. His decorated resin sculptures, created for the European market, combined sacred art and home décor, paving the way for a tradition of excellence and experimentation. In the 1980s, the family business introduced silver into its creations.
In the 1990s, the collection expanded to include hand-painted frescoes on canvas, followed in the early 2000s by a prestigious collaboration with Borsalino for the distribution of silver and leather items in the luxury sector.
In 2020, deBlona was born from the partnership between Moreno Sagni and designer Riccardo Mei, marking a shift to ceramics.
Rooted in Italian artisanal tradition, deBlona revives ancient maiolica techniques, reinterpreted with a contemporary sensibility. Each piece is handcrafted by skilled artisans, combining research, experience, and attention to detail.
This gives life to exclusive collections, enriched with unique pieces and limited editions. Among the most iconic creations is the Petalouda vase, adorned with delicate blue butterflies in a refined play of depth and layering, entirely hand-painted.
Today, deBlona remains committed to the value of craftsmanship and the quality of time devoted to creation. Far from mass production, it offers pieces that blend aesthetics, authenticity, and respect for tradition, with a forward-looking vision.
