The Artisans

Arper, founded in 1989, is an Italian furniture company based in Treviso. Starting as a small family business, it has now become an international brand that offers a design focusing on aesthetics and functionality, but also on the culture and values of authenticity and essentiality. The expression of this philosophy is the first cultural project dedicated to the Italian-Brazilian Architect Lina Bo Bardi (1914-1992) and the realization in a limited edition of the Bardi's Bowl Chair.

Daria Petrilli lives and works in Rome, but her works are exhibited in the most famous national and international exhibitions, with many awards, such as the Premio Accademia Pictor in Turin and collaborations with prestigious companies, such as Shiseido. Her paintings portray surreal, ethereal and unattainable female figures, often portrayed with animals. A deliberately provocative art that evokes classical art, drawing on the digital production of illustrations, where the enchantment of the Italian Renaissance and the underground language of Pop Surrealism meet.

Alfredo Sosabravo was born in 1930 in Sagua la Grande, Cuba. His works in plain and brightly colored terracotta represent mechanical objects and symbolic anatomical representations. The crafting is entirely manual and each piece is unique and unrepeatable. In 2020, an exhibition dedicated to the 90 year old master Sosabravo was held at the Museum of Ceramics in La Havana with ceramic works created at the historic Ceramiche Giuseppe Mazzotti factory in Albisola, the city where the artist moved to in 1993.

Dynamic explorer of a functional-creative philosophy, the brand of furniture and metal accessories Giacopini creates with its collections a combination of style, aesthetics, and design technique. Iron specialist and designer of solutions and furnishing accessories, the founder of the brand Michele Giacopini creates collections that, thanks to the technique and experience gained over the years, can also be modified by customers, to meet the decorative and design requirements of all domestic and public interiors.

Pieces of Venice was born of a love for Venice and actualized through environmental sustainability, support for the community and industrial design. Luciano and Karin Marson, founders of Pieces of Venice and of the project "Save Venice one piece at a time", give new life to recycled materials such as ship chains, pontoons, boardwalks from the city of Venice, anchors and old briccola from the Lagoon, creating designer objects for young and old: swings, rocking horses, walking sticks, paperweights and shoehorns.

Anna Corcione is a painter, artist, and sculptor who explores the profound connection to Nature in contemporary pieces. Based between Naples and Florence, she examines social issues with evocative lines and a universal artistic language. Her pieces have been exhibited worldwide, and she regularly collaborates with cultural institutions, embassies, and universities.

The Patrizia Volpato brand originates from a 1980 artisan company, specializing in the production of decorative designer lamps. Deeply rooted in the Marghera area in Venice, the Patrizia Volpato company combines the tradition of Murano blown glass and modernity, mixing different styles. A large catalog of innovative designer lamps and additionally customized projects for the Italian and foreign markets, intended for architecture studios, hotels, cruise ships, furniture companies, and fashion brands.

Sara Massidda was born in 1980 in Corinaldo, Ancona. Having commenced with metalwork, the artist then approached a new material: felt. Crafting tapestries, blankets, seat coverings and also cloaks, jackets and coats, each product is unique, lovingly worked on the outside and also painted on the inside. The goal is to transform objects, make them functional and to go beyond the purely artistic dimension. Through her work with hemp or silk threads, the artist creates effects of light and shadow on the felt to give depth and emotion to every facet and every object.

Peca Design is part of Sofà Arredamento d’Interni, a company specializing in upholstered furniture: sofas, beds, armchairs, curtains, cushions, lampshades and accessories, that was founded twenty years ago in the ancient suburb of Padua. Each product is made with precious high quality fabrics by the hands of expert artisans. A family business, led by Sabrina and today also by her daughter Sofia, with a passion for furniture and the constant search for new shapes, colors and accessories with a fresh and elegant taste, all aiming towards the single goal of customer satisfaction and happiness.

Disegnopiù was born of an encounter between talent and passion for woodworking and design. Angelo, Nicola and Martino, each with their own story, gave life to an Apulian brand (Santeramo in Colle) that today represents a landmark in contemporary designer furniture. Tables, chairs, furniture and accessories, where wood is the absolute hero, worked, reinterpreted and combined with other materials. Amura was established in Altamura, Bari, a picturesque place where the sounds of the artisan workshops can be heard along the streets, raising the value of Made in Italy craftsmanship. A young, all-Italian furniture brand that carries within itself the fragile and authentic beauty of the southern land. Through craftsmanship, the careful selection of materials and a sophisticated and innovative design, the Amura collections of sofas, accessories, bookcases and beds are created, characterized by quality and comfort.

Milanese architect and designer, Franco Raggi, is known all over the world for his works currently exhibited in the permanent collections of MoMA, The Centre Pompidou, FRAC/Orleans, Triennale di Milano and the Ceramics Museum of Savona. He has collaborated with brands such as Fontana Arte, Cappellini, Poltronova, Luceplan, Barovier & Toso, Artemide, Danese, and Zeus. He has also been the editor of CASABELLA and the director of design magazine MODO. Over the years he has collaborated with the Triennale di Milan as curator of several prominent exhibitions.

Artist and painter Lithian Ricci was born in Rome and now lives between Milan and Istanbul. After graduating in architecture, she began her career as a painter with various exhibitions in Italy and around the world. Her work ranges from the use of delineo, traditional and olio molle techniques through to lustro. These complex processes come from ancient Italian traditions that lead to the creation of porcelain plates, cups, vases and objects that are all hand-painted.

Atelier Frigerio Mirva, a workshop of decorators, gilders and master polishers, was founded in Meda, in the heart of Brianza. Each product is handmade and speaks of a technique, a material, an emotion. Unique pieces that unite a family of polishers, a history of ideas and experimentation with the aim of creating an original and contemporary product. CO.DE Contemporary Design by Jannelli is a brand arising from a strong manufacturing vocation and a focus on innovation, always part of the DNA of the Jannelli & Volpi group, a leader in wall coverings. The brand is entirely and exclusively dedicated to the contract sector and the bespoke needs of clients and professionals. BAU Design was born from the idea of design as contamination of different art forms: painting, sculpture, and photography. The functionality of the object is based on aesthetic pleasure. Directed by Silvano Cei, an internationally renowned artist with a background from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, the brand from Gavirate, Varese, offers furnishing products made in stainless steel, corten, titanium and flexible resin. Exploring identity and human conditions through personal stories, Guido Gazzilli’s photography mostly focuses on youth subcultures and music scenes. Starting his career over 10 years ago working with photojournalist Paolo Pellegrin, he has received global recognition following features in major publications, collaborations with international brands, and exhibitions around the world. Gazzilli was born and raised in Rome, where he still lives today, and teaches in visual art academies around the city.

Founded in Venice in 2021 by architects Maria Pernice and Marco Brotto, Carcino Design specializes in product and interior design, offering exclusive made-to-order and customizable pieces reflecting the duo’s interpretation of a universal language. The modeled materials act as a form of communication that at once refers to a classical ideal and embraces a pop approach. The company was founded in 2019 by Australian-born Jan Louise Pizzinato, who after several years abroad lives and works in Italy.
