Located in the historical Rione Campo Marzio, near the famous Spanish Steps, Palazzo Vilòn was, for a long time, the private residence of the Borghese family, one of the most influential dynasties of seventeenth-century Europe. Today the palace still retains its ancient charm and represents an example of luxury and Italian elegance.

Palazzo Vilòn stands in the premises of the ancient Gallery of Palazzo Borghese, designed by Carlo Rainaldi to be fully immersed in art and elegance. The palace immediately stood out as one of the most innovative and sumptuous artistic creations in Rome at the time and left the whole city breathless. After a meticulous renovation, this treasure chamber of art, beauty and Roman spirit brought back to its ancient splendor and decorated following the traditional Baroque spirit.

The guests here can truly experience the real spirit of Italian history, surrounded by enveloping frescoes, precious marbles and fine stuccos. The original furniture contributes to elevate the atmosphere of the palace, incomparable for richness and decorative flair.

The Hall of Mirrors fully interprets this exquisite taste: it has been the gallery that has hosted some of the most illustrious figures of Rome’s past and, in a magical play of lights, golden accents and baroque painted mirrors, is a surreal setting where guests can enjoy special moments. Another gem in the palace is The Hall of Railings that features two majestic staircases which lead to the loggia facing the Tevere river, in a continuous reference between the real panorama and the vast landscapes depicted on the walls.

All the suites overlook one of Rome’s hidden gems: the private garden of Palazzo Borghese. A green oasis richly ornated by marble vases, niches and delicate fountains animated by historical sculpted figures, the garden gives the guests the chance to experience the Eternal City in a completely different way, embracing the real life of a noble palace and enjoying an incredible atmosphere of wonder.

Palazzo Vilòn is one of most extraordinary places in Rome, a true gem hidden in the heart of city and surrounded by the artistic heritage of Italian culture. A hymn to the virtuosity if seventeenth art and a place of magical intimacy and impeccable service offered by Shedir Collection.
