Roma 109 - Palazzo della Civiltà Polaroid Lift

Part of a series of 12 designs each dedicated to a Roman architecture icon, this piece focuses on the frail beauty of images' emulsion layers, here depicting a glimpse of the Palazzo della Civiltà building in the EUR district. The careful transposition step on hand-cut cotton paper generates ripples and tears as unpredictable as they are poetic. A passe-partout (cm 20x20) with a turquoise bottom completes the piece.
