Visionary Perspectives at the Oltrarno Splendid

A hidden gem in the center of Florence, the Oltrarno Splendid is more than your ordinary boutique hotel, offering an unexpected blend of modern design with Renaissance frescoes and a sneak peek into the secret side of the city.

Oltrarno Splendid rises in the heart of Florence surrounded by the majestic Basilica di Santo Spirito and a panoramic view on the traditional red terracotta roofs of the Tuscan capital. Whether you want to discover the masterpieces held in Uffizi Gallery or take a walk through the green heart of the Bardini Gardens, the eagerness to explore the city will be granted by the centrality of this boutique hotel, ideal for real adventurers led by curiosity and seeking endless feelings.


The glorious aesthetic of Oltrarno Splendid's 18th-century palazzo has been preserved intact by architect Francesco Maestrelli, who then conjugated the Renaissance building with modern designs. The aim of the project led by Florentine brothers Marco and Matteo Perduca was to devise a strong character for all the environments, which already prestigious and rich in history, added to the pursue of the brothers' passion for the ‘hotel particuler’.

The affection and devotion for the city transpire through the emphasis of local craftsmanship with handcrafted furnishings, unique pieces of décor and lighting realized ad hoc or chosen from a carefully curated selection of Il Bronzetto collections.

The space hosts a total of 14 bedrooms gathered around the structure, facing both the private internal courtyard and the historic Via Dei Serragli. As uniquely detailed in every room, the interior design of the hotel presents classic elements with contemporary notes from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Each one of them is capable of narrating a whole different story, as these areas carry a singular aesthetic, different from each other.

Capturing the interest of venturous visitors are also the personal elements incorporated into the rooms, given by the appreciation of the owners for the peculiar objects, capable of creating a personable feeling and donating warmth to the spaces.

Frescos from 1700, once covered from paint and now restored, refine the rooms' walls, also decorated by 200-year-old Toile de Jouy wallpaper. Free-standing bathtubs, period sofas, and paintings are capable of transmitting a nostalgic feeling to the traveler, who develops a newfound attachment to the historic city and its marvelous past.

The Lounge area unravels in a series of monumental maps from the early 1900 placed all over the sides of the space, once again shedding the light on the historic value this place preserves. This impressive collection boasts work from renowned Florentine cartographer Roberto Almagià, amongst several drawings setting a grand atmosphere. The eclecticism of the furnishing of this space allows for unwinding and welcomes the guests to a much-desired relaxation whilst savoring Tuscan winery.


Time stops and the chaotic contemporary is put on hold at Oltrarno Splendid. The effortless elegance of this context marks time, enlarging travelers' dreams and broadening their sense of adventure. This Tuscan hideaway is surely renowned, rich in history, and unforgettable stories.
