Brith Murano Glass Sculpture

Brith Murano Glass Sculpture - Daniela Forti

A one-of-a-kind piece, this sculpture in hues of oranges and reds are crafted from Murano glass and from photoluminescent materials fused at high temperature and creates a pool of color and forms on surfaces where it is placed. The sculpture is reminiscent of a flowing jellyfish, with an upturned top and lots of little tentacle-shaped drippings underneath. Thanks to photoluminescence, the product absorbs external ambient light, releasing it in dark or semi-dark conditions, thus self-illuminating for many hours and creating an evocative effect. The technique used does not allow for exact reproduction so the colors may vary.
