Italian ceramist Paola Paronetto's Cactus series of decorative objects draws inspiration from the beauty and harmony in nature. Handcrafted of paper clay, a special material obtained by mixing paper pulp and particles of vegetable fibers to the ceramic base, this unique vase is composed of three cylindrical elements whose surface is marked by delicate and irregular vertical ridges on a dark forest green surface. It can contain water and therefore flowers, or dried elements but it should not be used as a dining utensil. The white pieces can be washed with water or sanitizing products, whereas the coloured pieces must be treated more gently and cleaned with a feather duster or a soft cloth, dry or moistened very slightly with water.
