Venini
Deco Red Vase by Napoleone Martinuzzi
Description
Designed by Napoleone Martinuzzi, artistic director of Venini from 1925 to 1931 and one of the most important innovators in Murano glassmaking, this blown glass vase is defined by a rounded silhouette enhanced by repeated horizontal rings. Art Déco style and Venetian glassmaking tradition combine harmoniously in this remarkable vase that was handcrafted entirely with the century-old opaline technique that confers a vivid and intense red color to the smooth glass. This piece is currently on show and immediately available at Artemest Galleria New York.
