Donatella Plate - Limited Edition by Gio Ponti

Donatella Plate - Limited Edition by Gio Ponti - Manifattura Richard Ginori 1735

Part of Le Mie Donne collection (My Women, in Italian), this is the first series of decorations designed by legendary artist Gio Ponti for Richard Ginori. Created in 1925, this series of plates and bowls combines classical style with Art Deco and its elegant style is a refined and unique addition to a modern home. In this plate the classical element is expressed in the columns adorning the rim, while the black background of the center is graced with the portrait of a naked woman stylistically rendered as she floats on clouds above a town. This stunning "piattella" is a decorative wall plate.
