The Artisans

Born and raised in Taranto, Orodè Deoro is an Apulian artist renowned for his distinct mosaic panels, where his iconic and erotic recomposition of tessera creates stories of universal seduction. Entirely self-taught, he developed his ceramic mosaic technique in “Vincent City”, an eccentric house museum in Guagnano where he lived from 2000 to 2004. Recipient of many prizes and showcases throughout the years, most notably in 2014 when he was one of the leading artists exhibited at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan. He lives and works in Lecce.

Since 2012, N.O.W. Edizioni has been offering a custom production of wallpaper coverings to the public. All products are tailor-made and printed on the most suitable support depending on the furnishing needs: wallpaper (also available in a PVC-free version), fiberglass for humid environments, and acoustic, sound-absorbing material. The stylistic research is carried out through the creative process of Pietro Gaeta, Art Director and founder of the brand, and other designers from the international scene.

Born in Rome to an Italian father and a Salvadoran mother, Costanza Alvarez De Castro began her career in scenic design in 2011, dedicating herself to her art ever since. She had her first three solo exhibitions between 2015-2018 and a fourth one in 2021 at Kou Gallery where she’s been an artist-in-residence since 2020. Alvarez De Castro also works as a scenic painter in the fashion industry, working with Prada and Gucci, and has been a regular participant in the RAW network since its first edition in 2016.

Masserano Cashmere is a family business founded in the early 1940s by Claudio Masserano. From humble beginnings in the world of wool trading to slowly growing to become an established cashmere brand under the leadership of Claudio’s son Paolo with his wife Tiziana, Masserano’s de luxe collections of handmade pure cashmere home accessories are appreciated worldwide. Currently in the hands of the third generation, Claudio and Cristina have expanded the brand by collaborating with renowned luxury fashion houses.

Italian painter Fabio Bianco is renowned for his visionary art blending realism with surrealism. Characterized by an engaging storytelling and multidisciplinary approach, Federica Paglia is an Italian designer who works between Rome and Milan. She graduated in Systemic Design and collaborated with important design studios before opening her own atelier in Rome. Exploring the connections between art, decoration, and design, she seamlessly combines various disciplines and materials in her stunning and unique pieces, each meticulously handcrafted with unparalleled expertise.

An established name in the world of handmade lampshades since 1960, Nassi Lamps tells the story of three generations of women combining the traditional classic lampshade with pure forms, enhancing them with novel, first-rate materials. Deftly handmade in Puglia, Nassi’s design lamps embody a unique style, “new romantic rationalism”, brimming with symbols and poetry.

Il Bisonte is a Florentine brand of quality craftmanship founded in 1970 by Wanny Di Filippo. Manufacturing takes place exclusively in Tuscany, and utilizes fine leathers processed naturally through vegetable tanning. The brand's mission has always been focused on environmental, social and consumer sustainability. All raw materials are carefully selected and processed by master Italian artisans and each product is made to last over time while preserving its beauty and uniqueness.

Daniela Lupi learned every secret of painting and sculpting in her small workshop, following a Renaissance tradition dating back to painter Artemisia Gentileschi. Throughout her thirty-year-long career, she has dedicated herself to producing singular pieces that stand out for a special layering of brushstrokes that creates a veiled, almost rarefied atmosphere. The powerful qualities of her artworks counterbalance her own sunny yet discreet personality, an unwavering tension actualized in superb singular pieces.

A passion passed down generations, Simone founded Justfurnituress after spending his childhood and youth in his grandfather's furniture restoration workshop. A masterful cabinetmaker with a deep knowledge of 1700-1900s furniture, he taught him everything he knew, beginning from the story every single piece could tell. Merging vintage and contemporary inspirations, Justfurnituress is a design and restoration studio offering antique sideboards and wooden tables as well as bespoke glass projects, combining past and present in functional artworks.

A contemporary take on the timeless tradition, Atelier Taftique is the Florence-based studio of Dutch artist Jules Vissers where she designs and creates hand-tufted and embroidered tapestries using personally selected high-quality Italian yarns. Taking part in art and design events such as the Milan Design Week, Dubai Design Week, and Florence Biennale, her oeuvres are like paintings: “To me, my yarns are like my painting colors. With this manual technique, I can make specific scenes and patterns come to life”.

Gabriele Rossi is an Italian photographer specializing in architecture and landscape photography, capturing the dynamic changes that occur in both urban and natural environments due to human activity. He has been conducting a multilayered project for over 13 years, mainly focusing on his hometown of Latina; he’s also traveled extensively to the United States, India, the Middle East, and other places throughout Italy for research. He has participated in various international projects, awards, and exhibitions.

Focusing on long-term projects of a personal nature, Italian independent photographer, and former anthropology student, Daniele Vita sees photography as a tool for documenting everyday life. Recipient of several awards and exhibiting his work since the early 2000s and a renowned contributor for Italian and foreign magazines, foundations, and social cooperatives, his three published works span from 2009 to 2019 with the latter exploring traditional Sicily during the holy week.

Somaschini marries an innovative spirit with a rich artisanal heritage rooted in 1940s Brianza. Somaschini’s expertise is reflected in their products, with unique finishes and customizable designs that effortlessly fit into the luxury market with their modern yet playful and irreverent style. A testament to traditional Italian craftsmanship, Martin Interiors is a Milan-based firm specialized in crafting interior design decor pieces. Working with precious raw materials such as marble, wood, glass, and refined textiles, the brand’s luxury designs are tailor-made to each client and decor, merging past and present in collections that will withstand the test of time.

Hugo Schaer was born in 1952 in Lucerne, Switzerland. A graduate of the School of Design in Lucerne and of the Académie Grand Chaumière in Paris, he began participating in exhibitions and interdisciplinary art projects in the 1980s, mostly with video making, painting, and sculptures. Deeply involved in the Swiss artistic and cultural scene and later that of Odessa, Ukraine, he now collaborates with the Italian “Fabbrica Ceramiche Giuseppe Mazzotti 1903″ in Albisola, creating unique sculptures and ceramics marked by a distinctive yet sophisticated style.

Born in Switzerland and based between New York and Noto, Sicily, Elena Barenghi is a painter, photographer, poet, and interior designer. Her career gained momentum in Rome, before attending the Istituto Spinelli Restoration School in Florence. She established herself as an interior designer in Brussels, where she opened both the EM72 concept store and the Ruedarwin17 Bed & Breakfast. Attending the Parsons School of Design in NYC paved the way for her “The Golden Rule” solo exhibition at the Amos Eno Gallery. Her house in Noto - Casadieci - has been featured in the Casafacile and Annabelle magazines.

Born in Taranto in 1994, Alessio Pellicoro’s journey into photography began in 2016 when he stumbled upon some of his father’s disused cameras. He’s dedicated himself to the craft ever since, studying Photography and Visual Arts at the European Institute of Design in Rome (2019) and completing a master’s degree in Cultural Heritage Conservation and Editorial Design in Photography at the Higher Institute for Artistic Industries of Urbino. His works have been published in various magazines worldwide and in 2020 he published his first photographic book, “Abisso”.

Born and raised in Pantelleria, the Italian island and commune in the Strait of Sicily in the Mediterranean Sea, Sebastiano Fischer is a contemporary sculptor. Son of ceramic artists Lele and Peter, founders of the first ceramic workshop on the island in the ‘80s, Fischer deftly captures the island’s magnificent shades, forms, and textures in his unique oeuvres. He used traditional techniques to turn raw materials from the rich land surrounding his workshop into elegant objets d’art of timeless value.

Andrea Celestino discovered his passion for woodworking as a child, inspired by his grandfather's workshop in the scenic Aosta Valley. After training in Aosta and Ortisei, known for wood sculpture, Celestino now runs a studio creating captivating contemporary art and sculptures. His work, notably his expressive female figures, reflects nature's beauty with sensuality and strength, crafted with meticulous attention to form and wood qualities. Celestino also takes commissions for classical figures, animals, and portraits, showcasing his diverse talent and dedication.
