This one-of-a-kind vase of the Ice Scape series boasts an undulated, askew shape inspired by the dynamic patterns discovered on glacier formations. The irregular texture is obtained through a series of creative processes. The artist's own blend of high-temperature stoneware clays is initially worked by hand on the pottery wheel in an organic form, secured with a first firing. The second firing at 1300°C takes place in an oxygen-reduction atmosphere, where the impurities of the clay come to the surface giving each piece a distinct and always different texture.
